Nicholas Chrimes, BSc MBBS(Hons) FANZCA
CO-FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR
Nicholas is a specialist anaesthetist in Melbourne, Australia who works clinically in both public and private practice as well as sitting on a number of committees involved in clinical risk management.
With a particular interest in simplifying clinical decision making in emergency situations, Nicholas is the creator of the Vortex Approach to airway management, Project Director for the Universal Management of Airways and Co-founder of the Safe Airway Society.
He also wrote & directed The Elaine Bromiley Case and What If videos which are used to educate clinicians about the issues of human factors in airway management. His interest in human factors and patient safety has also lead him to become coordinator of the EZDrugID campaign which aims to improve the distinctiveness of medication packaging in order to reduce medication error.
Adam Rehak,

DIRECTOR
Adam is a senior consultant anaesthetist at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, NSW and also director of anaesthesia courses at the Sydney Clinical Skills & Simulation Centre. In addition he co-founded and is a board member and the current Treasurer of the Safe Airway Society.
Adam has clinical interests in neuroanaesthesia, intra-operative neuro and spinal cord monitoring, airway management and human factors in health care. His other interests include wilderness and expedition medicine, ski touring, camping and surfing.
Krstin Bantug, CCRN MBA
Krstin has a background as an intensive care registered nurse completing her training in Sydney, NSW in 2009. She has extensive experience in airway management and has also completed her Master of Business Administration at Torrens University. She now spends her time in medical device sales and education.
Krstin is passionate about education and health. Her interests include airway management, human factors, networking and education event planning. Other interests include travel, hiking, surfing and CrossFit.
